User Validation and Consent Process
This section outlines the steps involved in validating End User consent to access energy consumption data using the Smart Connect Consent Tool.
Consent Initiation
The consent process begins by agreeing to these terms and providing your name, address, postcode, email, and telephone number. You must also supply your Meter Point Administration Number (MPAN). Smart Connect will cross-reference the MPAN with the address details held in the DCC network to verify accuracy. If the MPAN verification is successful, you can grant consent to access your data.

Consent Capture
By providing consent, you authorize Smart Connect to access and share your energy data with authorised installers.
Opt-In/Opt-Out Management
You can provide or withdraw consent at any time through your dashboard. Withdrawing consent stops data collection and sharing.
Document and Transaction Storage for Audit
SGC Storage: All relevant documents and transaction records are securely stored by Smart Connect for audit purposes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Consent Confirmation
Consent Validity: Your consent is valid for 12 months. We will send a renewal request via text or email before this period ends to ensure continued access to your data.
Once the End User is validated, consent is confirmed, and Smart Connect enables access to the End User's energy consumption data for the authorised installer.
